Welcome!

We greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! The purpose of this web site is to give a brief overview of the following:

• Jesus Christ:  
  • Who is He?
  • Why did He come to this earth to die and to be raised from the dead?
  •  What He says about His body, the church.
•  Jesus' church:  
  • What God said about the church through the Old Testament prophets.
  • What Jesus said about His church, prior to it being established.
  • The establishment of Jesus' church in Acts 2.
  • After Jesus established His church, what the New Testament says about the mission and purpose of those in His church.

 

Who Are We?

Our desire is to be more like Christ and, now that we have been added to His church, to conduct our lives in accordance with Jesus' teachings as revealed in the Bible.

In addition, we desire to help others to learn about God and Jesus and to assist them in understanding what the scriptures say that we must do to have our sins forgiven and to be added to the Lord's church.

We realize that once we are members of the Lord's church, our lives will change forever...and we must be faithful to Him until the end. The Lord said that His followers would be persecuted (Matthew 5:11-12).  We believe that if we do God's will and try our best to follow the Bible, then God will reward those who diligently seek Him...and will give us the ability to endure those who would insult, criticize or harm...and will give us the strength to do good to others. 

We are not perfect.  We can never be perfect on our own by the things that we do.  We can only be made right in God's eyes through the grace of God through the obedience of faith (see John 8:24, Matthew 10:32-33, Luke 13:3, Mark 13:3, Acts 2:38-39, Romans 1:5, Romans 6:1-17, Galatians 3:26-27, Colossians 2:12-13).

We must follow after Christ and His teachings...and not follow men or the doctrines of men.  "Jesus therefore was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, "If you abide in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31-32 31 (NAS)

Jesus is Coming Back: We know from scripture that Jesus will return again to take those who are "in Christ" back to heaven to be with Him eternally: "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord." 1Thessalonians 4:16-17 (NAS)
